Leading Telecommunications Firms Worldwide Select DOC1 For Personalized Business Documents
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today that top-tier telecommunications providers in various countries have recently selected DOC1, Group 1's electronic document composition system, to create customer-friendly bills, letters, and statements. New DOC1 customers include Convergys in the United States, VIAG Interkom and max.mobil in Germany, EuroTel Bratislava in Slovakia, and Telesp Celular in Brazil.
One of the new customers, max.mobil, had the following comments. "We evaluated several products for document composition and mass printing," said Christian Walter, Head of Partner Management and Business Units at max.mobil. "The flexibility and functionality of DOC1 and the support of Group 1 strongly impressed us, and we enthusiastically believe that choosing DOC1 was a solid business decision. When fully implemented this autumn, DOC1 will be a cornerstone of our Convergent Invoicing Strategy for the future."

The DOC1 system allows dynamic document applications to be developed in a WYSIWYG environment on a Windows NT workstation. The DOC1 production engine can run under MVS, Windows NT, Windows 2000, UNIX (Sun Solaris, HP/UX and AIX, DEC UNIX), Open VMS, OS/400 or PC DOS.
DOC1 is completely printer independent and produces AFP, HP/PCL, PostScript, PDF and line data output.
