Group 1 Software Announces G-Force Alliance Program

Multi-Tiered Program Assists Channel Partners Who Market or Integrate Group 1 Technologies in Customer Communication Management Solutions

Lanham, MD, September 26, 2005 – Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes company (NYSE: PBI), today announced the G-Force™ Alliance Program, a comprehensive program designed for Group 1 channel partners. The program helps alliance partners bring to market Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions that enable end-users to create stronger, more profitable customer relationships.

Group 1 expressly created the G-Force Alliance Program for OEM partners, value-added resellers, systems integrators and referral partners with established market positions serving industries such as financial services/insurance, health care, telecommunications, government and utilities.

The G-Force Alliance Program consists of three tiers – Silver, Gold and Platinum – with eligibility determined by partners' ability to add complementary value to Group 1 solutions and services, sales/marketing resources, market reach and overall company strength. Partners will receive benefits such as sales and technical training, conference participation, solution selling tools, access to Group 1 technology, sales strategy reviews and revenue sharing. The program's extranet portal, the G-Force Program Resource Center, will offer secure, partner-only access to detailed information on all Group 1 product offerings, and will include white papers, sales brochures, demos, PowerPoint™ presentations, case studies and G-Force program materials.

“Customer Communication Management is an emerging, business-critical requirement for end-users who understand the imperative to grow customer loyalty, market share, brand equity and revenues,” said Jim Starnes, senior vice president of global alliances for Group 1 Software. “The G-Force Alliance Program is designed with one goal: to enable Group 1 and our partners to seamlessly share everything from technical expertise to sales tools to bring CCM solutions to end-users in key markets quicker and more profitably.”

“Taxware is proud to be a part of the G-Force Alliance Program,” said Jayme Fishman, senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development at Taxware, LP, a leading developer of global transaction-based tax calculation and compliance systems, based in Salem, MA. “When technology companies pool their resources and work together, it's a win-win for the marketplace. Taxware customers now have access to Group 1's address-level geocoding technology, which gives them the most accurate determination of tax jurisdiction that's available in the marketplace. Group 1 customers, meanwhile, now have access to Taxware's world-class expertise in transaction taxes.”

Group 1 has initiated alliances with over 100 companies worldwide that provide CCM solutions including business geographics, data integration, data quality and direct marketing products and services. Initially open to North American partners, the G-Force Alliance Program is expected to expand its reach to international partners next year. Partner requirements include a revenue generation commitment, relationship staffing, joint marketing participation and a recoverable program fee.
