Bloor Research Recognizes Group 1's Data Flow For Leading-Edge Data Integration and Movement Technology
Report Cites Data Flow's Unique Technology and Ease-of-Use as Major Strengths
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) today announced the publication of a research report on its Data Flow technology by leading IT analyst firm Bloor Research. The report highlights Data Flow's advantages arising from its ease-of-use and its ability to provide both extract, transform and load (ETL) and enterprise information integration (EII) functionality. The Bloor Report, authored by analyst Philip Howard, is available for download on Group 1's Web site at http://www.g1.com/Link/Bloor.
“Our view is that there is a clear and growing customer demand for a single solution for all data movement requirements and, as one of the first vendors to provide a solution aimed at satisfying this market, Group 1 is ahead of the vast majority of its competitors,” noted Howard in the report. “Group 1's Data Flow is more extensive than almost every other data integration product in the market, in the sense that it provides EII capability as well as ETL, using the same platform.”
“We regard this combined capability as particularly significant,” continued Howard. “We expect this to be one of the directions in which the market moves in the years ahead, because there are obvious synergies between the two approaches. The fact that Group 1 is one of the first (if not actually the first) vendors to recognize this trend is significant in itself and will give the company a major advantage if the market moves in the direction we expect.”
Group 1's Data Flow software solution changes the way that data is accessed and integrated, enabling users to extend easily the accessibility and usefulness of corporate data. As a single source for both ETL and EII, Data Flow can construct data warehouses and provide rapid query, analysis and reporting required for successful business intelligence and application integration initiatives.
The report also recognizes Data Flow for its unparalleled ease-of-use. According to Howard, Data Flow is “much easier for end-users to understand than other products in the marketplace.”
“Bloor Research's recognition of Data Flow as a leading data integration solution is something in which we take great pride,” said Bob Bowen, CEO of Group 1 Software. “This report underscores the strength and uniqueness of Data Flow in providing data movement, integration and federation in a single solution.”
